Starting as a top hair colorist at Bergdorf Goodman, he became the first stylist paid for photo shoots, working with legends like Richard Avedon and Irving Penn. Gallant introduced the iconic "flying hair" effect, first seen on Twiggy in 1966, and later pursued photography, blending timeless elegance with modern narratives.
